Awe inspiring old growth forest of Western Red Cedar. This is an inland rain forest, rarer than the coastal old growth rain forests. The trees don't grow as tall but they are just as old. Several were over 1000 years old!

The park has been made wheel chair accessable for the first part of the walk in.
The rest of the hike up to the long waterfall is on boardwalk as well - created by dedicated volunteers this boardwalk takes up, up the side of the mountain, walking around ancient trees and along side small streams and waterfalls, cascading down to the rivers that will rush the water along to the Pacific!

I love the cedar circle best (look up at the sky through big cedar trees) it's the magic of the Nature, God's wonderful Creation. Secondly the lichens with different colors! Everything is just awesome, the wood bridges, even little girls helped build them, super nice, the wood paths, so good, great work, you can simply follow the paths to all places you must visit: the waterfall, Big Tree etc. and you don't have to repeat the paths you have been on. Read moreI had to stop to put on the rain gear. If you are on a motorcycle this parking lot is gravel and a little rough going in. Manageable just a little rough. It was a very peaceful break. Very quiet and just the smell of forest and the rain. Next time through I will be sure to allocate time for going for a walk. I didn't go for a hike but I did use the one of two outhouses. It was clean and maintained. The other was boarded up. September 21st visit update: Good news, the door is on and the outhouse is fixed, bad news, the washboarding of the gravel into the parking area is way worse. Luckily it was 4 wheels down...
