For grownups interested in history, this is great. Children may enjoy special event days when there are demonstrations and other activities. Being from the USA, we found the informative narration by Christine (our tour guide) to be very precise in describing not only the places and their purposes, but adding a more personal touch by mentioning the family and their history. Also, we must not forget that we had an excellent pancake breakfast, freshly prepared by another staff member who was also helpful in describing some other activities at the old homestead. We enjoyed our day very much. I must, however add, that as an animal lover and advocate, I wish there would be a more ample and humane location as their present facilities allows for no real swimming, which is in their nature what they...

I had my one year old brother for the day and I decided to take him to Huble Homestead for the morning. This was during the heatwave, so there were few other people at the homestead. The entire main area is very accessible for a stroller. My brother loved walking around and looking in all the buildings. He especially loved the chickens. The exhibits are all well blocked off and laid out so they are toddler friendly. The reason for the 4 star rating instead of 5 is due to the fish camp. Unfortunately I had a hard time getting the stroller down to the fish camp. The fish camp also lacked signage in key areas to give more information about the exhibits. Overall, we had a lovely morning getting to know a little bit more about our...

Honestly amazing little place and so happy we stopped in for a bit. The hike back up to the vehicles wasn't quite ideal... but understandable as they dont want the grounds torn up. Beautiful well rebuilt buildings and the people in the costumes are spot on. The place is almost a smaller Barkerville but just of the one family. Alot of history was had here. Didn't realize you can have some hot lunch and drinks down here and a great full gift shot too. Their raw honey says it's unpasteurized but it definitely is pasteurized and not quite worth the price. They do have fun activities going on so be sure to look them up and don't forget a donation at the...

I cannot praise the staff at Huble enough. We got married at the homestead in August 2020. Not only was the place beautiful and perfect for our ceremony, the staff ensured it went as smooth as possible. The staff were incredibly helpful while we were setting up and taking down decorations, often times completing a tasks before it was even asked to be done. The day of our wedding they greeted and welcomed our guests, filled the drink bins with ice, and ensured the chairs, and the aisle was set up in the barn for the ceremony. Everyone was very accommodating and helped make our day perfect!

Cute little homestead. I liked that they had little cards that were quick to read to give you some info, but not so much you couldn't read it all before the kids ran off. They also had some games like horseshoes, badminton, bocce, and croquet. The candy in the store was reasonably priced. There's a covered area with picnic tables which would be good for a picnic. The one thing to note is that you have to park at the top of a hill and walk down (well, you could drop people off, but someone needs to walk down). It was worth the hour or so we spent there.

I feel weird about homesteads on treaty land, also at a time when my own people were still in horrible conditions it make it difficult to enjoy this time period. HOWEVER: The staff was SUPER friendly and knowledgeable- and genuinely interested in the time period and the town of PG. I told them they saved the experience for me more than once. The General store is adorable- with a ton of local crafts and items. I recommend the Huble berry Jam [the one with mixed local berries].
