We were fortunate enough to experience this great snowshoeing adventure on a bright sunny day. Although the trails were not groomed for snowshoeing, they were well packed down from earlier hikers and they were well marked with signage. There are a few mild ups and downs which provided good exercise but nothing overly strenuous. Thankfully, it was not crowded, which was a pleasant surprise. Consider bringing a back pack with a lunch, or if you're really ambitious, a potable burner a small kettle for boiling water and some hot chocolate make for a great reward half way. I could see how it would be possible to get lost in this area if the weather suddenly changed and it was to get dark. Be sure to come properly prepared mother nature is beautiful but she can also be...

Beautiful in the winter. If you are up for it, go camp on the new camping grounds "SkyView" or the original places. Regardless, go check out the views once, the words like "serene" and "tranquil" comes to mind.

You can also see many interesting animal tracks, raccoons and some others that I couldn't identify but still felt very good to at least feel as if I was a part of the nature, not the urban city hell we live in, even if for a moment.

Places like these allow us to remember why life is so precious, I'm glad we have a good...

Very beautiful lake and it like two parts that connected together with the Rainbow bridge!.If you camping on the lightning lake camp ground you may have some access right from your site to the water.for going around to the other part of lake you can kayak or paddle of the water trough the bridge and pass it.or, you may use the trail yo get up there and have view from the bridge or after.by the way the smaller part that is tight beside the water is more lively for me.also the water is...

Loved It! We did the Full Hike around the 3 Lakes! It's a Beautiful Drive along the No. 3 Highway, out of Hope. The local Groundhog Prairie Dogs and Bird Community Welcomed Us with Open Arms and Beaks (I guess people don't read the signs, "Don't Feed the Wildlife" 🤭) It's not a difficult, nor technical, hike. However, there are plenty of more aggressive trails that await! We will be heading back for more! The campsites look really nice and the day activity parking lot is ample. Enjoy!
