Desolate, lonely, empty, amazing. The road is not paved for 90% of the time, but instead is of loose gravel so keep that in mind if your car is not good for driving on loose gravel. Also, drive slow, loose gravel is slippery! The desertification of Kamloops is very real these days and this place is uber dry.

Amazing so many different places to see in the Grasslands but have done Saddleback area, and the most wonderful Cinnamon Ridge. Very dangerous. Need great hiking boots, trekking poles and experience hiking steep gradients with loose dirt and stone. Was a crazy feat just making to back down the ridge.

An amazing escape just minutes from downtown kamloops. Whether its wading through a creek with deer, climbing a peak with a group of sheep otlr hiking one of the many trails this is an amazing place to be able to access

There are so many beautiful things to see if you are willing to look. Its semi arid and so not as obviously lovely as the more lush coast. In the spring the back of sage leaves has fushia colored fuzzy "flowers" (or whatever they are). The one and only cactus blooms every second year with light yellow, tissue delicate flowers. There are all sorts of birds including hawks and eagles in the air, and a herd of mountain sheep (or goats) that you can see each...

A good place for hiking but you would have to be good in finding your own way. There are no marked trails. Sometimes the trail your on might end in nowhere or at a cliff. Easy to get lost if you are not good at navigation. You could meet all kinds of animals on a hike. Be prepared for anything. Mostly NO cell service, so don't rely on it for communication...

It's also called as battle bluff . Best hiking place has little tuff routes. Best for group hiking and fire camping. I had been for this place hiking in the summer time. Lake view is awesome from the top. Sunset looks awesome. There is a train route that passes at the bottom corner across the hill. The view of this...
