A pretty site. A swimmable lake unlike a lot of others. Typical rec site. Limited parking for large motor homes, most would not bring a Class A in due to space requirements and a sometimes rough road in. Excellent for equestrian and walking. Sometimes a windy lake and mainly afternoon winds. Fishing is fair and can be slow in the summer heat. Mosquitos can be annoying at times. There is ample firewood around to gather. Noise travels well so louder groups may want to consider camping on the Southeast side which is generally not RV friendly. There is some riding around on the south side for atvs but the Far East and North is Douglas Ranch lands and infringement onto their marked land may result in enforcement or being met with a guy and a shotgun telling you to go back. This is a very busy lake which has optional camping at the lake before and a new sure about a km further east in the grass. Be bear aware when camping here, especially near the woods.
