Lundbom Lake Recreation Site — Attraction in Area N (Beautiful Nicola Valley - South)

A pretty site. A swimmable lake unlike a lot of others. Typical rec site. Limited parking for large motor homes, most would not bring a Class A in due to space requirements and a sometimes rough road in. Excellent for equestrian and walking. Sometimes a windy lake and mainly afternoon winds. Fishing is fair and can be slow in the summer heat. Mosquitos can be annoying at times. There is ample firewood around to gather. Noise travels well so louder groups may want to consider camping on the Southeast side which is generally not RV friendly. There is some riding around on the south side for atvs but the Far East and North is Douglas Ranch lands and infringement onto their marked land may result in enforcement or being met with a guy and a shotgun telling you to go back. This is a very busy lake which has optional camping at the lake before and a new sure about a km further east in the grass. Be bear aware when camping here, especially near the woods. Site Description: Lundbom Lake Recreation Site is a 102 unit campsite, great location for fishing, horseback riding, and camping. The surrounding area also provides excellent mountain biking and ATV/dirtbike riding opportunities on approved trails. The recreation site is very popular and offers a variety of campsites, both sunny and shady, many of which can accommodate fairly large units. Corral use has a fee of $2.00 per horse per night. The 14 (double sized) corrals fill quickly, so it is recommended that you arrive early as the use of electric fences and/or high lining is not permitted. Great recreational campground away from the hustle of typical campgrounds. There's RV sites in the open sun and under the shade of trees. Close to the lake and further away from the lake. The lake offers swimming and fun with gear as well as ducklings swimming around. You should use the jetty to enter the water though, because the shallow parts are full of small leeches.
