No parking on both sides of the park road is pushing people to park on an 80kmh turn on a road with steady traffic. You must reconsider the full safety impact.
The lake is stunning, the beach area small, packed and shared with boaters. Once you are on the water, it is a piece of paradise.
Tubing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing and motor boats all share this lake. Motor boats are supposed to keep speed low in the cove, and the lake is large enough you can mostly avoid them. Not a lot are ski boats, most are fishing.
There are two rope swings, one on the east side of the cove as you leave (great for most ages), and the other nearly a straight line out of the cove in a south/west direction. That one is a monster, you have time to consider you life choices a few times before you must then let go and see how much water your nose can hold.
The lake is home to loads of eagles and hawks, as well as painted turtles. It is a very clear lake and there are many trees laying on the bottom that make for a spectacular view.
