We went to the Blomidon Look-Off for the first time and it did not disappoint. It is over 600 feet above sea level and this million dollar view stretches further than the human eye can see. I took several photos but they really do not do this view justice. This is a 'must' visit to experience yourself.
Part of the experience is stopping by the Look & Lick for an icecream. My wife and daughter went for an icecream and found out that they even have sorbet for those who can't have dairy, which I was very surprised at and impressed with, so I got to partake as well. They really go above and beyond to hook you up when it comes to quantity as well! Based on what I saw there will be no one commenting about how little they received that is for sure. All you need is a 'small' for the very reasonable price of $3.00 taxes included and you will not be disappointed. If you visit the look off do yourself a favor and order an ice cream or sorbet. Their rainbow sorbet is bursting with flavour and you can thank me later 👍👍
//Update// we stopped at the Lookoff today for the first time in a long time and nothing has changed! Still a 5 star...
Read moreBlomidon Look-off is where you want to go to get breathtaking views over the farm fields and forests just north of Canning. There's also an open patch of land to take photos, and have a picnic too on warmer days. Open all year round, 24/7 and free admission, the only thing you have to pay for is the gas to drive up here (public transportation is not available). It wasn't busy nor crowded at all when we visited during the fall. We got to see all the autumn leaf colors of the trees as a bonus, and it was amazing. Note, it can get quite windy being at an escalating height and some areas are not fenced off from the cliffside. So be wary of children and pets. Otherwise, enjoy the views here, at the Look off! I know...

Recently had my 15 year old dog put to sleep and cremated, but during his prime, young and healthy days, he loved Valley trips, going to places like the look off, areas in Scots bay, and amythyst cove, rock hounding for hours with me, sniffing all the scents on the shores.. so I took the opportunity to let go of some or his ashes in the wind at the look off, it's just so peaceful, and calm, with fresh country air, definitely a must see if you're into just taking in a beautiful sight, keep going further and the rocks and crystals you can find are...
