Exceptional service and top marks for cleanliness! Maintenance came by within minutes of a request for a campsite issue we had with an old retaining wall rebar post sticking up. Friendly gentleman took care of it. Bike trails are well kept and maintained to high standards for fast flowing beginner to fully equipped expert downhill mountain biking (Th to Su). A couple of new trails have been added up top, and you can park up there or grind it out climbing on the access road when lifts are closed (Mo to We) 👌 Well done, Sugarloaf.

Worthwhile Visit To The Sugarloaf Top! Our 2 families stopped by this park in the summer of 2019 during our Maritime's trip. Although we didn't have much time to cover the entire park, we came here specifically to climb to the top of the mountain. It was a challenging and rigorous climb, but the scenic lookout made it worthwhile. The last 300m were quite treacherous so it is recommended to wear hiking boots (myself I almost twisted my ankle). Otherwise highly recommended!

We have camped here for the past 14 years. The sites are all good and private. Most of sites are serviced. The past few years we have found that you do need to reserve a site. They also have yurts and a new tree house. There are hiking & bike trails and you can take the trail up sugarloaf mountain. 2 minutes from Atholville/ Campbellton. Lots of places to explore.

Had booked our site in advance online with no indication we had to stop somewhere else other than the obvious booth at the gate which turned out to be closed even though it was Canada Day weekend just before 7pm. We then ended up at the gate with our trailer in tow no pull off area to sort things out and unable to backup with somebody already behind us. A simple sandwich board on the road next to where we had to actually register saying STOP HERE to REGISTER would save staff and campers the headache. Or do what so many parks do out West..have you print out your own site permit and bring it with you and clip it to your site post no...

Great destination for skiers in winter and mountain bikers in the summer. There's a nice loop of cross country trails (ski/bike) adjacent to the campground (easier counterclockwise), and a set of groomed Mtn bike trails at the top of the mountain. $5 for the lift is a no brainer. The ski/bike shop folks are very helpful and friendly. And the campground is a pleasure, with a bit of privacy between sites and a very clean and well maintained restroom building, it even has a washer and dryer! And the...
