ONLY FOR CAMPING!! If you’re planning to camp and experience in this historic site stay, PLEASE DON’T EVER CONSIDER. We had a pretty bad experience, we had to leave the campsite during midnight due to safety concerns. This historic site is opened for everyone, even though it says closing time is at 5 or 8pm or so (Staffs leave by closing time), Visitors could come anytime! Can you even think visitors come by around 12 or 1 AM during midnight and make a lot of frightening noises, partying, lighting, and walking around your tent!!! We couldn’t even sleep for a second! One more thing, when you check in, staff guide you with few things, one thing is that if you face any issues call 911 or go to BIG stop and be there till morning. That will likely happen. I made few feedback to Park Canada to improve this experience in future. I don’t see much of any reviews about this camping, if this could help someone! Sorry Park Canada!! Except Camping, FORT is an absolute treat for...

The rolling greens and ruins peaceful nature are a fascinating juxtaposition to the violence that led to our current political climate.
As one of Acadian heritage this site sits between fluctuating accommodations and attitudes among the Anglos and Francos who, with the natives, built our region into the land we all share now.
Those sunsets on those hills help one remember that this is a world we all must share and everyone is entitled to walk free without...
Read moreWhen I visited Fort Beauséjour – Fort Cumberland, I was really impressed by how much history is packed into this place. Walking around the star-shaped earthworks, I could almost imagine the battles that took place here and the people who lived through those times.
The museum inside helped me understand the stories of the French, British, Acadians, and Indigenous peoples connected to the site. It wasn’t just facts — it felt like stepping back in time.
I spent a good couple of hours exploring the grounds and soaking in the peaceful views of the marshlands and bay nearby. The contrast between the calm nature around me and the intense history was pretty striking.
From my side, visiting Fort Beauséjour was a meaningful and enjoyable experience — a perfect mix of history, nature, and learning. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone...
