Nice saltwater beach located between the majestic Bathurst Harbour, and the beautiful Bay of Chaleur. On site amenities include, washrooms, change rooms, boardwalk, beach volleyball courts, playground, and a full-service marina. Quiet area. Family friendly.

Pretty cool place. Decent sand. Place was empty (poor day). Fisherman on beach casting out for Mackerel and Stripped Bass. Nice boardwalk with ample parking

Nice clean beach, the lifeguards are great, washroom facilities with an outdoor shower open to the public some days. Beware of the jellyfish in the water.

Great beach in the Bathurst area. The beach was clean, peaceful & beautiful. Water was clean & clear & is generally warm for the area. It is a sandy beach which is very enjoyable but there are some small rocks & shells too as you enter the water or walk towards it, depending on the tide. The rocks are small and effect minimal sections so your are fine with out any swim shoes but if you have sensitive feet I would suggest bringing some just to ensure you can fully enjoy the beach & swimming in the water. There is a supervised section with life guards which is great especially for families but there are also great ‘unsupervised’ -yet swimming friendly- sections to enjoy. There is clear signage to indicate the areas where you can swim as well as where swimming is supervised or unsupervised & also to state where swimming is not suggested or allowed due to strong currents. Nonetheless even in the swimming permitted areas the current can be strong at times & could be surprising for some people, especially those unfamiliar with natural swimming water environments. If your unfamiliar with this type of swimming environment then I would suggest that you error on the side of caution & most importantly whether you are accustomed to this or not & no matter where you are swimming if you have children please be sure to always supervise your children & do not leave them unattended. A great place to spend a day or half a day. A great place for individuals, friends, couples & families. I would recommend coming here if in the area. Are there better beaches that exist? Yes for sure, but this one is great especially for the region. I would return if in the area again. Lastly, yes there can be jellyfish but when I went there where none at all. Same thing at many beaches in NB, I have seen jellyfish sometimes in the year but not all the time, I honestly believe it is probably a seasonal thing depending on when you go but that’s my opinion based on experience here and there but not based on any research. Anyhow overall great experience, if in the area I would return &...

Beautiful place, lots of stuff to do there for all ages including the obvious swimming and playing in the sand but there is also volleyball nets, a park, and walking trails. There's lots of parking. If you look down well walking in the water there's a good chance you will see a jelly fish or 2, crabs, lobsters, snails or different types of fish. Great place to...

Nestled nicely in the bay of chaleur, this beach contours a scenic view of the bathurst cityscape and is home to a full service marina and has recreational amenities. It also has a staging area and a small playset for children in the woody shaded area...
