Hiked twice within a couple of weeks. Easy to moderate trail. Seen a few children around 8yrs old along the hike. Really nice views of the ocean. Trail to lighthouse was well maintained and had signage. Lighthouse is nice looking but has a bit of damage and litter in the area of the lighthouse. I don't recommend to people who are seriously afraid of heights as there's areas that you're shortly walking along a cliffs edge. My mother who is afraid of heights had to turn around off the trail.

A moderate to challenging hike! About 4km to reach the lighthouse from the parking area, rocky terrain and lots of ups and downs. You are exposed on the coastline most of the time so be mindful of the wind. You’ll need good waterproof hiking boots. The view at the end is worth the journey!

★Long trails. Summer is the best time to explore the place. ★Fresh breeze from the ocean. A lot of seagulls around. ★Vibrant with a lot of colors during summer time. ★Wearing a good pair of boots is advisable. ★Great place to capture the nature with cameras.

Visiting the lighthouse is worth the trip, whether you are doing the entire Spout Path Trail (approx 8 hours) or just doing an out and back to the lighthouse from Bay Bulls (approx 3 hours round trip). The trail consists of sections protected by trees, as well as more exposed areas closer to the lighthouse. There are some sections that are very close to cliffs, so if you have a dog it's worth keeping...
