My wife and I are doing the "staycation" thing in Newfoundland this year. Visited the Heritage House this passed week and of course it was understandably closed due to COVID. There was 3 ladies who came out of the house who were probably having some type of meeting. While my wife and I, plus our 2 friends were on the boardwalk chatting and taking pictures, my wife asked if they were closed. While one of these ladies went to her car, the other lady said yes they were closed, and then asked if we were from the US. My wife said no, that we were from Newfoundland. This lady then looked at the other lady, who was getting into her car and said " it's OK, they're from Newfoundland ". No usual friendly greeting, no small talk, just an attitude that we were being labeled as a risk to the community.
