Bayfield Beach Provincial Park — Attraction in Bayfield

Many great memories of this beach from childhood and my most recent visit with three little ones under the age of five was no different. Boardwalk from the parking lot leads to cobblestone and then down to sand. Beach is shallow with warm water and plenty of sandbars - perfect for little ones to play. Lifeguards are on duty in the summer months. Bring snacks and water as there is no canteen service...

Great spot to take the kids! Long sandy beach, if you go when the tide is out. The sand is almost flat with a slight slope so it’s a nice easy walk into the water with no shear drop off. Beware...Google Maps will lead you past the park to an unmarked dirt road. It goes to another beach via a rough road. Stop when you see the park sign, it does not say beach on it. Park in the lot to the left of the sign and walk across the road to the beach. No idea how good it is...because we went to the wrong...
