Fabulous park. We really enjoy our time here. The day-use park is just outside of Tatamagouche on Tatamagouche Bay. We used the park facilities at one of their great picnic shelters with barbecue. There were many families there with kids at the playground.
One of the things that surprised us the most was how floral the gardens were. They even had accessible washrooms which was great for our mother who is in a wheelchair. The view of the ocean was fantastic as the park leads right onto the beach. There is a fenced area for dogs to play off-leash.
There is a 1.5 km walking path in the park as well, and it is also connected to the 26-km Butter Trail (part of The Great Trail) which passes through the park on the former route of the Short Line Railway. We love cycling on it starting at the...

We came by for a picnic as we have done in the past but within seconds of getting to a picnic shelter, were both covered in mosquitos. This was in August and I have not experienced mosquitos this bad very often. Unfortunately we didn't have bug spray with us so we ended up dining in our car. I wouldn't fault the park for this inconvenience, however, so still 5 stars! But do bring...
