The most beautiful scenery on the island that we have seen so far!! Gorgeous setting!! Words and pictures can't really describe or capture it!! It is perfectly quiet there. The water looks like frosted glass!

Below the lighthouse are smooth stone rock formations that are fascinating to look at. The only thing you need to be careful of are the bees in one section if you have an allergy to them. It sounded like a lot of them. We just stayed away from that part, and they weren't a problem. We heard the seals outside, and may have spotted one swimming in the water, but it was a bit far away.

The top of the lighthouse had a spectacular view with the beacon in full operation during the day. The stairs are very narrow and steep with not very large openings leading to each floor in the lighthouse. If you are very obese or in a wheelchair, this would be impossible. Slightly obese people scaled it fine though. There is no ramp.

They have picnic tables on the grounds for you to eat your lunch. The admission is $5 per adult, $10 per family to the lighthouse. They have a small gift shop with snacks, canned homemade jams, and homemade crafts and knit...

Cape Bear Lighthouse is located near Murray Harbour and is one of 7 lighthouses on PEI that you can go inside and climb to the top. It’s an important one because it was the first Canadian lighthouses to respond to the Titanic distress signal. They have information inside as you tour about it. The Marconi station is going to be renovated and moved to the site one day. The lighthouse has a great gift shop with lots of local crafts. Staff our wonderful, chatty and with great local stories too. It’s a short drive from Woods Island Ferry which also has lighthouse you can climb. ...

The Marconi station is no longer here. There is a tiny musuem and you can get an interesting guided tour about the life and work in the lighthouse and a little bit about the Marconi station. As far as lighthouses go it is not the most beautiful, but it has a working light even during the day, so if you climb three very steep flights of stairs you will be rewarded by the unique experience of seeing the rotating light and...

Great lighthouse visit. Easy to find and lots of parking. Staff was very interested in telling all about the interesting history of this place, and of course, we were all ears. If you are a Titantic buff, then by all means, visit this place and learn how it is connected to this ship. Coming in here with a large motorhome might be a problem if they are busy.

Cute lighthouse with some links to the Titanic sinking which was an interesting bit of information we did not know. The staff are friendly and happy to share info about the surrounding area. Entry to climb the lighthouse was $6 per adult when we visited and we felt this was fair. The setting is lovely and quiet and the climb up and down was fun.
