I am extremely disappointed with the staff at this facility.
I have been trying to book my daughter in for swimming lessons. I was advised they opened the registration on August 16th so I did my due diligence and was online at 9:01 knowing fair well it would book quickly (adding that I am a Beaumont resident). The computer system wouldn't allow me to register and said registration wasn't till August 18th. I went on on August 18th thinking I was told the wrong date to still... not be allowed to register. I called and was advised then and only then that I would have to "make an account". I did just that only to find they were all booked up already.
I'm a pretty understanding person so I decided to inquire about private lessons. The girl advised me there qas quite a few so I rushed there after work that day and was assisted by another girl who could only find one date in October and one in December. This was of no help because I needed 3 to 4 classes. All this searching took her at least 20 minutes while I stood there. I bit the bullet and signed up for a winter class in March (I was there to just got to the gym so I didn't bring my debit with me) the girl said I could just pay next time I was in. Unfortunately the next time I was in was after I left all my cards somewhere and had to order new ones. The girl on the phone let me know it would be NO PROBLEM and to just come in as soon as I got them.
I did just that. Arrived yesterday after I got my new cards in the mail to find my 6yr old booted from the class due to no payment.
AT NO TIME DID ANYONE ADVISE ME THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN AND IF SO I WOULD HAVE SOUGHT HELP TO HOLD HER SPOT.
Now my 6yr old is being penalized because the staff at this facility cannot give full and/proper information and because someone couldn't leave a note on my file.
Long story short is that I was able to find 3 private classes... at a very inconvenient time for my schedule AND PAY DOUBLE for them.
Adding that when my hubby and I were looking at switching gyms we were told by one of the staff we would have to pay a drop in fee each just to view the gym... not even to workout. What kind of...
Read moreThis is the most amazing place. As a Senior I am able to book times for free swimming and free use of the walking track. I could get in free to other venues like Pickle Ball etc., but swimming and walking are my favorites. When I say swimming I mean water walking, flexibility exercises and stretching in the pool, soaking in the hot tub, perspiring in the steam room and letting the dry heat ease my joints. All the while being pampered by, visited with and cared for by the most wonderful Lifeguards in the world. They are truly a blessing. Accommodating, friendly and helpful to the nth degree! Now I come back to where I started as I had digressed a bit. I am "blessed when I go in and when I come out." When I come in, professional receptionists greet me, help me figure out my plan for the day and do it all with extreme patience and always polite. I also have the opportunity to phone in my requests for activities and times. Then a very clean changing room allows me space and privacy to quickly ready myself. Once I get to the pool deck, I have freedom to move from one venue to the other, enjoying them all. When I leave, I feel happy, healthy and so grateful. Beaumont we are blessed by this beautiful Recreation Center. I tell family and friends just how blessed we are. They cannot believe what this Centre does for Beaumont Seniors. Thank you everyone for being so kind and so helpful. You are loved and appreciated. The best to everyone of you. Miss...
Read moreDisappointing Security Measures at Beaumont Sports and Recreational Center
I had a miserable experience at the Beaumont Sports and Recreational Center on February 17th, 2024, at 2030 hrs. After my workout, I was shocked to discover that my lock had been broken into, resulting in the theft of my wallet, keys, and clothes. To make matters worse, my vehicle and work equipment were also stolen.
This incident highlights a severe security issue at the center. I highly recommend that everyone either invest in a good lock or take their belongings into the workout or pool area with them. It is evident that the Beaumont Sports and Recreational Center needs to urgently update its security policies, procedures, and physical barriers to prevent such incidents from occurring.
The lack of security measures not only resulted in the loss of personal belongings but also had a significant impact on my daily life and work. The management needs to prioritize the safety and well-being of their members by implementing more robust security measures.
I hope that my unfortunate experience serves as a wake-up call for the management of the Beaumont Sports and Recreational Center. I urge them to take immediate action to enhance security and provide a safe environment for...
