Bowen Bay Beach — Attraction in Bowen Island Municipality

Twenty Mins with BC ferry to Bowen island from Horse shoe Bay. Good to spend sometime in 🌞 in Bowen Bay. One small ( wheelchair accessible) bus every two hours once take to you to Bowen Bay beach ( 1 hr drive). If you drive hats off! Limited parking. Nothing to enjoy any nearby shop or restaurant. Alternatively, near to BC ferry terminal, you get lots of option to go around like boat house, small beach, hiking, restaurants, groceries, artisans shops, wellness centre, Cafe... If you want to go to Bowen Bay, I would prefer you to take food, snack, and water with you. Note: Horse shoe Bay playground for the kids is currently closed for...

Small, non-descipt beach. You would miss it if you didn't have your GPS on. There are about 3-4 spots for cars to park next to the road and then it's a steep walk down to the beach. What an idyllic, secluded, and tranquil haven that we serendipitously discovered! We left Abbotsford and made it to the island within 2 hours. We kept following the road, and found this spot, almost by accident. Despite being a public beach, it was quiet and almost hypnotically quiet.
