Bowen Island Whale Trail Site — Attraction in Bowen Island Municipality

Secluded beach on Bowen Island with opportunities to see Marine Wildlife. Not a sandy beach, so could be hard on the feet but spectacular views of the Straight of Georgia as well as various islands and the Sunshine Coast. We went in the afternoon and it wasn't very busy.

Dog friendly, which is a plus for many people. Lots of reviews saying it was hard to find, but I did not find that at all. Very accessible by trail and by road as well as few parking spots available. Water access is available. Great place to spend an afternoon tanning, swimming, or hanging out...

This is a beautiful, quiet beach with one vault toilet. There are only four parking spots but it was enough for my group of three cars. My kids had a blast exploring the area. We didn’t see any large marine animals but there were shady areas and sunny areas on the beach. A very cute and scenic trail. Located at the end of South west side of island, few parking spots available and one toilet is found at the trail head. Along the trail, walking beside the private property and residential areas be sure to respect privacy while on the trail. Nice view and easy walking...
