I've only been to the Her Majesties Royal Chapel of the Mohawks twice. Once on a School Trip and later on when I lived in the City of Brantford...named after Chief Joseph Brant. It's very beautiful and unique inside, and the Stained Glass Windows tells the Story of its founding and the early life of the Iroquois Confederacy! A Mohawk Elder Lady did an excellent job on the tour of the Church...and further down the street nearby is a Reproduction of an early Iroquois Fortress at the Woodland Cultural Center. Read moreI was looking forward to this visit. Mohawk Chapel is apparently one of 3 Royal Chapels in Canada and the first church built in what is now Ontario. It has a fascinating history, so check out the website. I would have loved to see more of the church, but unfortunately it is being renovated. If you plan on attending at the time of this review, you can only look at the church from a distance, which means not walking the grounds, inside of the church, or seeing the grave of Joseph Brant up close.
