A couple friends and I went up to Presqu'île Provincial Park for a small university reunion over the summer. While we made use of the beach as an escape from the hot sun, we needed to dry off a bit before going to, the nearby, Whistlin' Duck. We happened across the Marsh Boardwalk trail, and very quickly it became the highlight of my brief trip.
Complete with a stunning lookout, and a seemingly endless, wooden boardwalk through thousands of reeds, the Marsh Boardwalk trail was fairytale-like, and easy to fall in love with. Tragically, there is some trash in the open swamp areas from hikers less enthralled with and cautious of its beauty.

Read moreBeautiful place to take a walk. If you walk or bike into presqu'ile it is free. From the gates it is a 25 minute walk to get to the boardwalk trail (straight down the main road). The trail itself is not long but is a very nice walk. Halfway along the trail there is a massive deck which always seems to be in the sun and out of the wind....
