Update: Your definitely right. I generally only give reviews when I am beyond annoyed with a business that I have given multiple chances to prove my first impression wrong. (BTW 11 out of 24 is less than half and the others are probably all 4 or 5s)But that generally doesn't happen and yes I would like to steer people away from your business because what your selling is way overpriced(that is the point of bad reviews).
The first time I came here, you charged me over $100 to play on destroyed greens where the cups were placed in the middle of that nonsense instead of anywhere else. Last year, I brought a group and I had the starter yelling at us and rushing us, acting like we were late when actually, we were driving down the 1st fairway 1 minute after our tee time booking, after paying over $100 each yet again. Needless to say, they weren't impressed for the price they were paying either. Time slots are too close together and so there is also a lot of waiting, especially on the back 9. I've also bought large buckets of range balls to be told that I can't use the range for over a half hour because they don't have a cage around their range picker, multiple times. They also don't say on their website that taxes are NOT included in the green fees posted there. They don't seem to have a spring discount like every other course within an hour does, unless they forgot to post that on the website as well. Hope that was enough constructive criticism for you. Have a good one.
The course is nice, but it's certainly not worth $120.91 for 18 holes and a cart. Shelter Valley Pines is just as good of a course and under 20 minutes down the road for $91.53(most expensive time slot). There are a lot of other courses around here that are nowhere near those prices.
I live right down the street from this course and I probably won't be playing it this year at all when it's $56.50 to walk after 4pm on a weekday(they count fridays as weekends of course), and you very rarely get in 18 holes starting...
Read moreWas out for two rounds at Timber Ridge yesterday, September 4th. I've played it a number of times before and basically knew what the course was about. But yesterday was a joke. The pins were cut in incredibly terrible positions, more fitting of the Tough Enough tourny, not a long weekend. Not to mention the amount of sand on the greens, the putting was insufferable. Whoever cut the pins in those spots either;
a) doesn't golf b) is heartless
The starter said he would have unalived himself (not his actual words, but you get it) if he had to play them. A marshal said "I don't get it, you want people to come back, you want them to have fun".
Not sure if the sand is the culprit, but the greens were near impossible to hold. I'm a player with plenty of height and spin and it was a tall ask.
Overall we had a fun day, the course was in good shape, staff were all friendly, pace was good. Literally nothing to complain about otherwise. But whoever cut those pins needs a talking...
Read moreTypically, I enjoy my rounds at Timber Ridge, but this may have been the worst experience during a round of golf I’ve had at any club in a long time. I opted for a ride and dine and the round of golf took just over 4:45 and by the time we got off 18 the dinner wasn’t even ready even though we ordered it in the golf shop when we checked in. For a course of this quality, it’s irresponsible to jam so many groups in to take so long. At one point there were 3 groups on a par 3. I do enjoy the course, but I’d think twice about playing here by choice with my friends. The pins were in absurd locations for a causal golfer and contributed to the long day. Not having dinner ready after 4:45 round of golf was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I donated the meal to the next golfer who wanted food - the single positive feeling I had about my time at Timber Ridge today. I’ll be back to the course at some point again and I hope it’s...
