Thorah Centennial Park is a fantastic destination for star gazing enthusiasts, especially if you're looking for a spot closer to Toronto. I usually visit around midnight, and the experience never disappoints. On clear nights, you can see the shape of the Milky Way, and you might even catch a glimpse of the aurora on occasion. The park's Bortle scale rating of 3-4 makes it one of the best locations for star gazing in the Greater Toronto Area. The drive from Toronto is relatively easy—about an hour via Highway 404 and Highway 48, which is a shorter journey compared to the 2-hour drive to the Torrance Barrens Dark-Sky Preserve. The park features a spacious parking lot and is situated near Lake Simcoe, providing a great setting for stargazing. I typically bring a camping chair, park my car, and set up my chair nearby to enjoy the night sky. Just a heads-up: there are a lot of small insects and flies, so be prepared to deal with them. Overall, Thorah Centennial Park is a top choice for anyone looking to enjoy the stars without venturing too far from Toronto.

Crispy spicy chicken drum is very juicy, crispy spicy burger is just ok, very standard, nothing special. Soft drink from soft drink machine, that is good, as i like soft drink with ice on it. Fries very normal, should be frozen goods, crispy and hot but portion is kind of very small, not benchmark fast food shops' normal portion. Comes with ketchup and spicy hot sause. This is lovely. However the worst part is the mashed potato. The mashed potato is very normal, soft and creamy, i hope it is not from powder, the most terrible part is the gravy on the top of the mashed potato, the taste is unforgettable terrible. I only take a small half spoon of the mashed potato with gravy, then i leave it and not going to eat it. Dine in area is ok, just like normal fast food shop but clean. Staff not very friendly, a bit below average. Takes 15 mins around to get this combo. Overall ok, i will back to try more crispy chicken, instead of chicken burger. As the crispy chicken is very juicy.

We were just here today, if you are looking for kite surfing this could be your spot, a lot of people here were kite surfing. I was here to have a swim with the kids and the reviews stated shallow water thus my trip from Ajax to discover this spot. It’s a relatively small park, so picnic was great however the sand in the water was squishy and didn’t feel like to step on it. So if you are looking for a place to swim you might not like it. Having said that it just could be me as there was another 2...
