Great mountain with excellent trails, gorgeous views and fantastic evening experience, including nuit blanche where you can ski until after midnight. However their customer service level is horrendous. they hire a lot of young people who do a great job until something goes wrong.. We rented a chalet for the weekend and attended the Nuit blanch snowboarding until midnight, the next day we decided to climb the mountain on snowshoes just after breakfast (around noon). The climb was very demanding but very pleasing, on our way down we got lost in one of the Crossings of the snowshoeing with the ski trails and ended up of the opposite of the mountain. That is a 5 minutes drive from the parking to our chalet but a 45 mins walk. We were hungry, it got cold and dark and there is no taxis or uber service in town. The staff refused to have people on the lift without skis to hop on the lifts in order to go back to the other side. Again. Impossible to call taxi/uber. We were exhausted and the small station area where we end up had a cafeteria that was closed and all the food from the vending machine was gone.
We insisted to the staff to have someone to drive us to the parking close to our chalet for one of us to come pick il the rest and it was a constant NO from their part.
No food, no transportation and the only solution was for one of us to walk 45 minutes around the mountain to come back and pick us up.
Car staff with Bromont signs would park in front of us and after explaining the situation the only answer was for us to walk on the side of the road for 45 mins.
I loved going to Bromont for years but that was my last time. We were very close to call 911 because of how helpless we fell and I believe a simple problem could have had a simple resolution on their part from clients who paid lift tickets for skiing and snowshoeing.
We could have avoided all this by not getting lost or by having more physical resistance. Other than that there was nothing we could have done but for a big mountain like this not to see how helpless some customers where and denied a simple gesture of help (we even offered $50 to the drivers to help us get the car is unforgivable.
I hope I will never be treated this way by another business and that I never will have to be in a situation where my only viable option would be to have to...
Read moreAs a Montrealer who’s been snowboarding every winter since 2014, I’ve carved my fair share of lines across Quebec’s mountains.
Bromont is just an hour from Montreal, but it feels like a world away once you’re gliding down one of its 110 runs sprawled across 450 acres.
Whether you’re a park rat, a powder chaser, or a cruiser, the mountain’s got your back. There are multiple peaks, a variety of lifts, and a layout that means you rarely have to repeat a trail unless you want to.
Bromont is the largest night skiing resort in the world. Seriously. If you love to sleep in or work a half-day before hitting the slopes, this is your paradise. The lights come on, the crowds thin out, and you get that magic “first tracks” feeling well into the evening.
After a day (or night) on the slopes, Bromont’s après-ski scene delivers. The Chalet du Sommet offers panoramic views and hearty eats-think beef bourguignon, mac & cheese, and hot coffee to warm your soul.
For a more lively vibe, head to Bistro-bar La Débarque for shareable starters, comforting mains, and local brews. During “Nuits Blanches,” the bar stays open until 1 a.m.-perfect for swapping stories and planning tomorrow’s runs.
What keeps me coming back, year after year, is the vibe. Bromont is big enough to offer variety, but small enough to feel friendly. The staff are helpful, the crowd is a mix of families, friends, and diehards, and the mountain somehow balances being both lively and laid-back.
If you’re looking for a mountain that delivers epic night skiing, a huge variety of runs, and a legit après-ski scene-all within an hour of Montreal, Bromont...
Read moreWe came here last year for a taster but we were too late in getting group lessons for the kids. For this season we booked our kids group lessons well in advance with 'Bromont Ecole de Ski'. The kids group lessons are generally 2 hours, which gives us adults enough time to go and explore the ski slopes. We usually did a warm up with them on the nursery slopes which are free to access and plentiful if your little learner is just starting out. If they are more confident then Mont-Soleil runs are good for getting a few runs in before their lessons. To note, if your kids are in lessons and using the chair lifts, best getting them an Apex pass. As adults, we got Apex passes too. A big thank you to Luc, Felix and Raf for teaching our kids to ski over the 8 week block! Their confidence and ability has grown leaps and bounds by the end of it.
Overall, plenty ski runs to choose from with some challenging routes and gentler ones, enough for all abilities. The slopes are well groomed and plenty space to move around. Ski/Chair lift wait times I found to be ok. On par with ski slopes I have been to in France. Amenities/restaurants are at the bottom and at the top of the slopes with a reasonable selection to choose from. There is also a shop at the bottom of the slopes, so if you forget gloves etc, you can buy a pair there.
If you are starting out as a skier/snowboarder or looking to get your kids some lessons, this is a great place to start...
