This was one of my most enjoyable ventures ever. Went with a friend who is a decendant of Jean Pierre Roma. Tara, our tour guide, was outstanding. Loved the tour of the gardens & learned a lot about why & what was grown. The bread in the brick oven was perfection, lunch was terrific. Thanks to my friend Scott for taking me there and learning about his heritage. I saw how a fishing net was woven, tried printing with an ink quill...need more practice here for sure and Tara showed us the handmade candle wicks used for dipping candles. Want a step back in time, beautiful setting, superb staff, relaxing adventure, and the history of Jean Pierre Roma & his part in establishing part of my Island early beginnings.....this is...

This was the time I enjoyed the most...

I chose the grilled cheeze and vegetable soup, and my wife chose the fish cakes and baked beans..this came with homemade bread and molasses...it was awesome.. the bread was baked in the brick oven... the history behind this type of oven was shared with us by the cook who baked the bread. We were given a guided tour by 3 different tour personnel.. they each explained the different occupants' roles in the village. The history was phenomenal. It was a very harsh lifestyle to live..life expectancy was short. If you love history, this would be a place to put on your bucket list..highly recommend it once in a...
