Lowville park is such a wonderful park to go to. It has everything you would want for a park. It's very well kept and clean. The washroom are always open and very clean. This park is perfect for family BBQ get togethers, baseball games, a creative park for the kids, good fishing, events, play frisbee, catch, walk with your dog, tobogganing in the winter time, great photography location as well. Nice place to go on a hike also. There's also an ice cream place just before you pull into the park so if you want you can go for some ice cream with your kids. There's also signs situated around the park for some reading material and knowledge about species, plant life Etc. It's great for the kids to learn. The park is free and the parking is free as well. It's also really beautiful to walk through the park when it's fall when all the leaves are changing. My kids really enjoy going here. They love nature and going on a little hikes then playing at the playground. It's perfect place to wear them out. It's also only 10 minutes from my place so it's not far. If you plan on doing some barbecuing there they have Ash pits where you can dump your ashes and lots of garbage cans situated around the park. Like I said before it's very well kept and clean. Definitely worth going and...

UPDATE: Still a beautiful park to visit. Burlington has started a thing this year where if you are driving in, you need to pre-book. This is due to too many people abusing and overcrowding the park and being rude to other guests. The pre-book only applies on weekends and holidays. Weekdays are a lot less busy, which is when I usually go. The website says pre-booking parking is free, so I'm not sure what people are talking about when they say "paid parking". It's free, but you just need to pre-book. I should mention the free parking has a three hour limit. Again, this is to control overcrowding so more people can enjoy the park. Some people are all bent out of shape over these changes, but I don't mind them at all. People need to remember there probably wouldn't have been as much need for these changes if everyone was being more considerate of the park, the community of Lowville, and each other...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLowville park is a decent park considering it has no entry fee and its reasonable proximity to the GTA and other close by cities. The park offers multiple benches and wide open areas for playing and all kinds of physical activities. It also features a river, if you come early enough in the day you can claim a picnic spot right next to the river although some areas of the park are a tight fit for picnic goers. As far as park by laws go loewville is on the more liberal side of what you can do within the premises (personal bbq allowed). Lastly I would avoid using the washrooms in the park as they are very dirty and on more than one instance have been in a state that makes them nearly unusable. All in all I would recommend this park to anyone who wants to avoid entry fees but wants a generally nice...
