Calaway Park is a great little family spot whether you have toddlers or teens. The lines are very reasonable, the prices for a season pass on Black Friday or in May are usually phenomenal, and there is a great variety of rides for every thrill level (I lovr that the ride signs have the thrill level listed). Things I love are that the staff are super attentive to safety from making sure kids are safe heights to double checking buckles are done up. Some staff are clearly bored and going through the motions while others such as Remmy are authentically friendly and kind. My son loves the bumper cars and my daughter loves the log ride (which usually has a fairly long line compared to other rides). The food choices are pretty awful and food prices are high, if you are looking for healthy options there are virtually none and the processed food they do have is comparable to cardboard in my opinion. It is definitely overpriced for snacks but you can bring your own cooler which is a major plus. There are a ton of shady areas and it feels more immersed in nature than other theme parks. This last visit on July 20th Samira, Muskaan, Ryan, Jordan, Gabriel and Remmy seriously made our visit a blast. They were extremely friendly, joking with the customers, and all thoroughly looked to be having fun working and enjoying their jobs. Gabriel offered to help me out of the log ride, Samira helped me with tips to keep my purse dry, Muskaan was so friendly at the log ride entrance, Ryan was a blast throwing jokes and engaging customers with his smile, and Jordan was diligently cleaning up and helping his colleagues. The girl with blonde hair and a pink shirt at the top of the log ride was super friendly and engaging too. We were greeted by Naghat when we arrived and left and she was warm and welcoming each time amd it means a lot when the front gate person sets the tone for the visit. Parking was easy, there was a ton of spots to sit and rest on a hot day, and walking from place to place was quick and convenient. Well laid out park with safety focused staff.
