WOW! What an amazing day! We did the ā€œExplore Banff National Park with Our Premium Day Tourā€. Mario was our guide and he truly made us feel like family. He was so incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about surrounding geography, the sites, and where to get some awesome photos. He was great about food recommendations, had an awesome sense of humor, and was a very safe driver. He was super willing to take photos for us and we never had to ask him to take our photo - he was always close by and ready to take an awesome picture! The mini bus was extremely clean and comfortable and fit 12 passengers. It was the perfect sized group. We never felt rushed or like we didn’t have enough time. He was very accommodating to people of all ages of varying physical mobility. They picked us up promptly at the time they said they would. We never had to question what to expect because Mario always explained what was coming up. He made the longer rides to our destinations fun by quizzing us on facts about the area and we even won some gourmet popcorn after answering a question right! We absolutely loved how the tour was split, with two site visits, a 2 hour lunch break, and 2 more sites. We did the summer itinerary, so we saw Lake Moraine, Lake Louise, Downtown Banff, Two Jack Lake, and Lake Minnewanka. We were not sure what to expect but we could not be more impressed with Mario and Rocky Mountain Trips. Upon our return, Mario sent us off with a local maple candy and a Rocky Mountain postcard - what a sweet touch! We will definitely be back and spreading the word about Mario and Rocky...

My tour yesterday with our tour guide Teddy and Rocky Mountain Trips was absolutely fantastic! I can’t fault it at all!

Teddy brought such wonderful energy and enthusiasm on the day, and was very knowledgable of the area and all of the background stories and details, which he shared with us over the course of the day. He’s a true people person and a great conversationalist. He also had a headset microphone, which meant everyone could hear him clearly throughout the day.

The van we drove in was excellent, clean and modern and Teddy was a very safe driver.

The tour was well planned and timed for all of the sights. Having 2 hours in Banff town was perfect, as it really allowed enough time for a sit down lunch and shopping. Teddy would also stop the van or slow down anytime we saw wildlife, such as a grizzly, black bear, elk, deer and bighorn sheep, so we could take photos and videos.

For each sight we were visiting, Teddy would also come along with us, to show us the best areas to go, point out the toilet location, or to help out by taking photos or videos for us, which I greatly appreciated, being a solo traveller.

I also very much appreciated that they provide water bottles, and also a lovely thank you postcard at the end of the trip! Such a nice touch!

I recommend everyone book their tours through Rocky Mountain Trips! It’s an absolutely wonderful experience, 10/10, and the service is fantastic. This is a family business with a heart of gold and a focus on creating wonderful memories. Thanks Teddy...

If you're looking to explore the breathtaking beauty of the Rocky Mountains with a tour that feels personal, warm, and unforgettable, look no further than this small, family-owned gem of a company. I had the absolute pleasure of being guided by Mario — and let me just say, he made the trip exceptional.

From the moment we met, Mario made me feel completely at ease. As a solo female traveler, that comfort and safety meant the world. He went out of his way to ensure I was never left behind or left out. At every scenic stop, he kindly took the time to snap photos of me first before tending to the rest of the group, which was such a thoughtful touch. After each stop, he’d check in, ask about my thoughts, and engage in great conversation — it really felt like traveling with a friend who genuinely cared.

Mario's knowledge of the area — from geology to history and nature — was just the right amount: informative without overwhelming, and always delivered with kindness and enthusiasm. He was happy to answer every follow-up question I had, no matter how niche! Also, did I mention he’s a chef!? His lunch recommendations were incredible. Whether you're craving something hearty or fresh and light, Mario knows just the spot to satisfy every palate. He even offered me his phone charger when mine died.

This tour didn’t just show me the Rockies — it made me feel them. I can’t recommend it enough, especially if you're traveling solo and want a guided experience that’s warm, welcoming, and...
