A fascinating park 15 km from Cambridge Bay. The road can be rough and so it was a slow drive but well worth the trip. There are great interpretive signs along 5 marked trails, and camping is available. I drove out to the park to hike up Ovayok. You great a great panoramic view from the ridge.

I hiked from Cambridge Bay to the summit of Mount Pelly in May 1994. Took me about a day round trip, was slow going as there was still some deep snow on the road. Great view from the top! There is an inukshuk at the summit -- great photo op. It's not a challenging climb to the top from the base of the hill. The locals said that there were no polar bears in the area which...

amazing park, honestly life changing, i found the purpuse to my life and everything is clear now. would reccomend but remmember to bring scuba diving gear since the guy is there 24/7 giving free tours since its his life passion....
