Construction is still in progress - so some of the manmade blemishes on this lovely walk will eventually be gone. But... significant improvements to the parking lot, trails & viewing facilities at the falls have been made.

Parking lot, bathrooms & trails are all wheelchair friendly - though I suspect future contstruction will make it considerably more so. Sadly, the falls viewing area is not available to wheelchairs or anyone who has difficulty with steps.

There are a multitude of steps and all are metal grated. Which is rather cool, especially when you are on the suspension bridge. The views are spectacular- well worth the effort.

All dog's are on leash. Please be prepared to pick up any mess your dog(s) make on this busy trail. There is poop bags available at the trail entrance from the parking lot. Found our dog's were very nervous about walking on the opened metal grating. They definitely don't like the ability to see the gorge beneath them.

Must warn those who have breathing or walking difficulties - this walk is downhill from the parking lot - consequently it's a long - somewhat steep climb back to...

Four stars for the swimming. The rest of it was merely ok.

The suspension bridge and waterfall were underwhelming. I was left wondering what the point of the bridge was, other than a tourist attraction. It was so busy and crowded. I’m pretty sure I actually caught Covid here there were so many people. It made me feel like I was in an amusement park. Not the feeling of nature I want on this beautiful island.

The rest of the park was great. I found several lovely swimming places and the massive trees were impressive as always. The huckleberries were ripe, and there were a surprising number of them in the forest.

I could really do without the long walk through the construction fencing in the blasting heat and sun. And the parking lot has basically no trees for shade.

Also, the accessible parking is hardly accessible when you have to go onto the narrow sidewalk and make your way over to the perimeter of the parking lot that isn’t where all the services and trailhead are located. It is an unnecessarily long way for someone with a mobility...

Booked a group site through the Discover Camping website in July for a trip on September 10-12th. Arrived at the campsite on September 10th (Loveland Bay) and found our group site full of RV’s Found the campground host and he said they they were not accepting reservations after September 7th and said it must have been an issue with Discover Camping.

I phoned Discover Camping and gave them my confirmation number and they said ok we see your reservation what seems to be the issue? After my explanation they said it is up to the specific campground to decide if they want to take reservations or not and some have turned group sites into multiple first come first served individual sites but I could apply for a refund.

After searching for another 4 hours for a campsite for our groups 3 RV’s we returned home and I filled out the application, now I can wait 6 weeks for my $603.90 refund... I wonder if they will refund me for our day off of work that will now be spent...

Aug 6/2018.Fantastic place to walk around. We left from the John Hart Interpretive Centre. An easy walk to the falls park. The trails are wide and smooth enough for moms to push a stroller.I saw children that seemed to be enjoying their exploring. The park has posted maps along the way to help when needed. Not a good place for dogs bc of the iron crates on the steeps and the suspension bridge. On the way back We watched a lady and her husband with a big dog that was in so much pain to his paws that he couldn’t walk. Don’t know what they did for him but the dog just laid down and quit.To the Falls and the suspension bridge was less than a 1 km. Well worth the time.Take and walk with care. Aug 7 2022 this wasn't planed to return 1. year later. Elk Fall was a second, first choice is in the planning stage. This time we walked from the BC power generating station with the excellent craftsmen ship carvings. Round trip with a few side trip jaunts at the falls is just under 8 km.

Love, loved, loved this place! I'd definitely say it's a must see if you are anywhere close to this area! We were told there are over 75 falls here, we only saw this one but we were short on time. It's a nice, easy and short 1.2km hike to the suspension bridge. The bridge shakes a bit and is very high so it's super trippy. Everything looks very new and shiny (the stairs, bridge), it's very well built. Right now the water has been redirected so the falls are much larger (BC Hydro stuff going on) so now is a perfect time to go. We saw friendly wildlife when we were there, no bears or cougar but deer which was fantastic! There are pit latrines there in case you really have to go but yeah it's not for the weak stomached lol - don't look in! The mist by the water is plentiful so be prepared to get a little wet. It's just so beautiful, I can't say that enough! And it's free!
