You get great views from the free viewing platforms around the base of the lighthouse but you can also pay to to go up into the lighthouse and climb up. There's a cute tea House up in the base of the lighthouse as well. The main free parking area is at the very bottom by the water but there is accessible parking further up that you can drive to but it is steep. The ground surrounding the lighthouse really set this place apart. It is similar to Peggy's cove in some ways in that there are lots of rocks that you can walk around on with the same caution about them being slippery. The walking trail goes all the way down towards a point and to the water in some parts with exposed rocks and seaweed. There are some tide pools there too. There's also a large fin whale skeleton.
