We enjoyed a night of camping under the stars, though the wind did pick up during our stay. Despite the weather, the park's open spaces provided ample room to explore and enjoy the fresh air. The coastal scenery is truly breathtaking, with rugged cliffs and expansive ocean views.

   Read moreWe came here to see the Bread Oven at the recommendation of the owner of the Inn at the Cape down the road. This is the settlement of the Acadian French which we are surprised to see them in Newfoundland (we are from Nova Scotia). The Bread Oven has a daily occasion (12 - 2pm) for locals to bake in the stone oven under wood fire and distribute to anyone for free. The bread was really good and we had a little chat with the nice locals before we took off. Very pleasant hikes in the park, really recommend following the trail a bit up to a promontory overlooking the rest of the cape (labelled "large bird colony" or something of the sort), the view towards both the cape and the red island on the other side are .. hard to put in words. Concluded the walk by a (free) slice of bread from the bread oven.
