Do NOT book in advance! They can and DO CLOSE without notice due to weather. They WILL NOT refund tickets. In fact, do not make more than spur of the moment plans to go here unless you are local. My son and 9 student friends drove from Toronto and Ottawa (8hrs) on Canada Day weekend, paying $300 in advance, only to find Splashtown closed the only day they could go. I understand needing to close for weather and preferring unhappy customers come back another day within the same season, but refunds should be given in extenuating circumstances. They are completely unreasonable on the subject of refunds. .... We were finally able to scrounge together a completely different group of 10 people to go instead in mid-August and they didn't give us any hassle, but I still advise there is a real risk you will waste your money if you...
Read moreWe had an absolute blast at Splashtown with the kids. The staff was quick and friendly (Haylee🖐) on-shore and the park was adequately staffed with lifeguards. Parking is close to both the manifest building and the dock for your swim to the obstacle course. They provide high quality floatation that also double as a protective vest! With games of tag, speed challenges around the course or flips off the jumping ledge your going to take some wipe outs. The kids loved it and we had fun the entire time. We brought a cooler of food and swam in for a picnic at the park then geared back up for another round of punishment 😀 If your on Manitoulin this summer don't miss a chance to take the fam...
Read moreSuper fun way for the kids to spend a day. Safety conscious operation and lifeguards were wonderful. Mindemoya is sparkling clear and warmer than other lakes. The half star is for the fact that the kids have to swim a fair bit to get to the inflatables, but that's because it's a shallow lake. They all wear life jackets so it's not a huge deal. Would be nice to have some seating on the dock for parents who are not inflatable fans, like me. Highly...
