Beautifully nature and park you can bring your family there and spent great time in nature by river you can fish , make barbecue on prepared spots very clean, plenty of garbage bin where you can throw your garbage, several taps with water for washing your hands, I don't know if the water for drinks is, a very well organized park for lovers of nature and socializing , easy access to river , plenty of parking lots. On the other side of the dam you can launch your boat, kayak and fish for walleye bass and pike during the time when hunting for them is allowed

This is a cool place to visit. Completed in 1942 to tame and manage the mighty Grand River. You can walk across the top of the dam and there is a nice staircase that takes you to the bottom for a beauty view.

Be sure to know the regulations for fishing the river below the dam. There is a stretch down there that is zoned 'sanctuary' I believe. Fishing is allowed, in season, with artificial bait and single barbless hook. Catch and Release only as well I think. It has been a while since I've been there and my recollection of the restrictions is a little hazy so be sure to do the research yourself...

This historical landmark is a sight to see! I went on a 10-kilometre walk and had a picnic with some friends here, though I do not have any photos nor videos captured. I loved seeing this, and reading the story behind this...
