We fell upon Ferme Guyon by accident our last trip to Montreal, someone in the group had to potty. Well let me tell you, we were all (8 of us) very impressed and happy with this Farmers Market. They have everything, the pricing is fair, they have everything from rustic/farmhouse decor, to plants, seafood, meats of all kinds, even A5 Wagyu Beef; I know something about A5 Wagyu, the butcher, young lad, really knew his stuff, the deli, bakery, gourmet coffees, cheeses, alcohol/wine/ciders beyond your imagination. The candy section was every child's dreams. It's a farmers market that has everything fresh, locally made or produced. So anyhow, we all got some items; sandwiches from the deli, can of a spiked cider, snacks, sweets, pastries, cheeses, and meats. It was all so good that when we were headed back home to N.H. we stopped here again and all of us really broke the bank lol.
Just did a girls trip this weekend and there we go, stopped at your market on the way into Montreal and loaded up cheeses, deli meats, croissants, biscuits, goodies, and spiked ciders.
On our way home, again, we stopped in and basically bought more than what we needed; of course. The Christmas decorations were all 40% off and with the USD vs CAD is to the Americans benefit, we spent each a few hundred dollars. There was so much to choose from. We're talking pastas, vegetables that look so good and fresh, meats to include the Wagyu A5 Beef, lobster meat, frozen fruit pie which are all made locally, meat pies, again, made locally/homemade, soaps, lotions, this place has everything, i love my n farm fresh dairy milk in the glass bottles; so cold, yum. I didn't understand the French writing on the pkgs so would ask someone walking by, whether employee or customer, everyone is so helpful. All employee interaction was positive, friendly, and helpful. Great staff!!
In closing........Ferme Guyon is right off of 10 E or 10 W exit 22, right off the highway, convenience is king.
Enjoy!!!

Read moreA few weeks ago we visited Ferme Guyon for the first time. Was pleasantly surprised by the great selection of Quebec local products.. this being said found that the groceries portion of things was quite expensive.. Neverthless we purchased multiple things, including a breastcancer « support » mug for a family member who battled and won her fight.. At the cash we inspected the said mug, all was fine.
Unfortunately, when we offered the present, our family member noticed it was damaged near the handle.. No problem we said, we will get you a new one.. We returned to the Guyon ferme, receipt in hand & gift box, to do an exchange... Well guess what, we literally had to argue with the manager to get an exchange. She wouldn’t let us complete the exchange, stating it was our fault and we would have broken it..Quite pathetic.. I don’t have a tendency of buying pink mugs for decoration, there was clearly a cause behind this purchase.
Really unfortunate situation that made it clear that I would never return to this store and also discourage my friends and family members to visit.
What ever the situation is, as a business owner just remember that the customer is...
Read moreI'm giving 2 stars because I love the local products at this store. I've been going for about 10 years for various purposes, the butterflies, the animals, the meat, the beer, the plants but trust this when I say that I go for the products and NOT the staff. The service sucks there! I've never written a review here before but I felt the need to this time, since my dad was refused access to the store for being in a motorized wheelchair. The staff asked him to take a regular wheelchair that they have there, he declined saying that he is not capable of using those wheelchairs and left embarrassed. My mother and I made a complaint to HR, where we were told they'd allow us this time..in a very...
