We drove out from Ottawa this afternoon for a tour, and were pleasantly surprised to have our own private tour. Despite the upstairs being off limits, there's still a decent amount to see.

Admission fees are reasonable, and after the guided tour you are permitted to explore on your own, allowing time to read display plaques and take photos. Next year will be the 200th anniversary of the jail...
