I will start off by saying that Camp Fortune is a great place, and under normal circumstances we usually have a great time.

Yesterday was likely one of the busiest days of the year considering the time of year and the Thanksgiving weekend so I'll cut the staff some slack. I also originally thought our most recent experience was most likely an outlier however after speaking with about 5 other families, we all shared a similar experience.

My family and I went to Camp Fortune Thanksgiving weekend to enjoy the fall colours and to ride the Mountain Coaster. The weather was practically perfect.

When we got to the facility we purchased our tickets for the ride and were told that it was a 1 to 1.5 hour wait (this was not really an issue considering it was probably one of, if not the busiest days of the season). They asked us for our cell so they could text us a QR code when it was our time to line up to go up the chair lift to the top of the mountain.

In the meantime, we went to the Restaurant/Bar and ordered food. We ordered a Reuben sandwhich and fries but were then told they were out of Reubens. Ok, we ordered a grilled cheese with the soup of the day but were then told they were all out of soup aside from spicy chicken. Ok, so we ordered chicken fingers and fries and waited and waited for about 45 minutes to get our food. The food was hot and fresh and really good, and we'll chalk up the delay to the fact that they were insanely busy and likely understaffed. We really felt bad for the servers and the cashier because it just wasn't a great day for them either and many people were complaining that they didnt get what they ordered (got something else altogether).

We finished our food and still hadn't received a text to start lining up for the ride. We waited outside at one of the seating areas. Still no QR code. So after 2 hours we went into the office and confirmed that we were still on the list and that there were now only 33 people ahead of us. We were to wait for the QR code.

So we went back outside and waited more. The line started to die down and still no QR code. We asked a few other families whether they got a QR code. Two families said no, the other family said they got one after they purchased their tickets online. The family with the QR code still had to register and was told it was an 1.5 to 2 hour wait (they came 2 hours after we did).

So we went to speak with one of the Camp Fortune staff at the bottom of the chair lift just to see if we missed something. We were told that in fact there is NO QR code and that this has been an issue all season and they cannot scan a QR code. Instead, once you go purchase your tickets you are to go to the chair lift and wait in line and then as you move through the line the staff check to see if you are on the list when you get to the chair lift.

So after this, we waited for about 30 minutes in the line, (this was 3 hours after we got there), went up the chair lift and had a great time going down the coaster.

Overall, the weather and the staff at the bottom of the hill were great. The servers and the cashier were overwhelmed but tried to keep it together and were awesome. The food was great for usual pub fare.

It just wasnt a great experience considering that the left hand doesnt speak with the right hand, and a lot of time was wasted waiting around for a QR code...

Had a terrible experience with customer service and the people who work at rental services. I never write reviews but the disrespect I experienced here is inexcusable. As most may know, you must give a piece of ID to rental in order to rent skis or snowboards. I was hesitant because I only brought my health card but still, they ensured me that they would hold it for me and I would be able to get it back once I bring my equipment back. When I came back the person that took my health card from me looked at me like I was confused and denied taking my ID. I waited there and even had my friends who were written down on the form with me to confirm I gave my ID, and they still denied. After looking for about half an hour they told me they couldn't do anything for me. I was upset however, I called customer service a couple hours later once I arrived home and they looked into it for me and told me they found it. They also told me they would send my health card to my house. I know they found my card and form because they relayed my information (birthday, phone number, address, email, etc.) I thought it was resolved then and there. It has now been 2 and a half weeks since the call when they told me they will send my ID to my house. I called them yesterday and they told me they never shipped my ID and they don't even have it with them anymore. I don't understand how this could happen because they definitely had my card otherwise how would they know my information. The man I spoke to about this, I don't know if he's the actual manager of rental services or just said he was but he really did not take my situation seriously even after letting him know that because of this I had to reschedule a very important medical appointment, it will now take me months to get another appointment. I heard him laughing with his co worker and he hung up the phone on me and never called back. I could understand this kind of situation if I happened to lose the ID myself but they insisted they would hold it for me and keep it safe while I went to ski. And how do you lose it twice? I didn't even get a proper explanation from anyone. I'm so disappointed and upset that such a simple task has now resulted in such a huge...

Went here for my mommy-daughter date and it truly was a memorable experience for both myself and her. I had purchased the adults aerial Park experience in the mountain coaster. However, my daughter couldn't reach the height requirements so we were forced to do the kiddos course. It was a bummer but so grateful it turned out that way because we ended up taking the 2.5 hours meant for the adults course just trying to get through every challenge but was so delighted we finished every single course.. The zip lining was nice as well although I didn't enjoy having the harness for this.

The mountain coaster was extremely a wonderful experience. You start off with the chairlift experience and head up to the station where you get on the coaster. The chair lift was a welcome bonus in that I didn't know we would get on it 😁. Previously, just thought we go up directly to the coaster. It might be helpful to know that you can actually slow down the coaster. I just started on high speed and hurt my back so much before I realized I could slow the speed down.

Eat well, Carry a snack/s with you. By the time we got done with both the Aerial Park and Coaster the main doors had been closed so we were not able to go back and buy food which was our plan :-(. Thank God we had eaten a proper breakfast and had some snacks with us.

Key things that made my experience worth the while: Excellent and fast communication. Before I made the booking, I emailed to inquire how to maximize my booking. They quickly responded and advised I purchase that Aerial Park and add on the Coaster where I received a discount. My daughter was not tall enough to do the adult course, they gave us a couple of options on how to cover up cost or to get a refund since the kiddos course is cheaper. Generally all staff were helpful. However, Aisha and Savannah were remarkably helpful. The opportunity to actually have to focus on tasks especially going up the ladders and getting the rings through the gun plates. It looks easy when watching someone else do it until you master it. The true essence of an obstacle course.
