I recently visited Greendale Acres / Chilliwack Corn Maze with my wife and two kids, and I must say it was an absolutely fantastic experience! This place exceeded our expectations and offered a wide range of activities that kept the whole family entertained throughout our visit.
First and foremost, the maze itself was an adventure in itself. The intricate design and well-marked paths made it enjoyable for both children and adults. We had a blast navigating through the maze, and the sense of accomplishment when we finally found our way out was exhilarating.
What truly sets Greendale Acres apart is the incredible variety of games and activities available for kids. We were pleasantly surprised to discover over 50 little games designed specifically for children. From interactive playgrounds to challenging puzzles, there was something for every child's interest and age group. Our kids were absolutely thrilled and spent hours hopping from one game to another. It was wonderful to see their faces light up with excitement and joy.
In addition to the games, Greendale Acres also offers an amazing opportunity for photo shoots. The beautiful surroundings provided a picturesque backdrop for capturing memorable moments with our family. We managed to take some stunning photos amidst the vibrant colors and scenic views, creating lasting memories that we will cherish forever.
The staff at Greendale Acres were friendly, helpful, and attentive. They ensured that the entire place was well-maintained and clean, and they were always available to answer any questions we had.
Overall, I highly recommend Greendale Acres / Chilliwack Corn Maze for families looking for a fun-filled day out. With its vast array of games for kids and the stunning setting for photo shoots, it...
Read moreI came to see the 101st Chilliwack Plowing Match on April 1, 2023. It was very well organized and the public had lots of opportunity to speak to and photograph the three competitors and see the horses and plows in action. Of course, I would like to see more competitors but this was still a great event. If Dave Reid, the multiple winner and B.C. plowing expert, attends again, it might be an idea to ask him to make a few remarks to the spectators to explain what is happening during the competition and how it is judged. Can't the competitors be awarded more money to cover their costs?
The amenities were very good. Parking was close to the field. The young people staffing the coffee bar were excellent and didn't hesitate when we asked whether they could make a mocha (coffee with a little hot chocolate added). I saw one young girl doing a very thorough job cleaning one of the washrooms. That was very impressive.
I also took advantage of the chance to try a walking plow by myself, pulled by a tractor. Again, this activity was organized and operated by teenagers or younger children, and they could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. They pitched in quickly to extricate the plow that I managed to get thoroughly stuck in the furrow. All ended well.
Thank you for holding the plowing match on your excellent property. With all the activities for kids, including the bubbles, you were able to attract more families than would have come otherwise to see the...
Read moreGreen Acres Farm in Chilliwack is like a little slice of paradise, surrounded by cornfields and stunning mountain views—a perfect spot for a family day out. We hadn’t originally planned to visit, but after lunch in Chilliwack, we decided to give it a try, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our day.
There was so much to do! We started by grilling fresh corn over a fire, which was such a fun and unique experience. Paired with some delicious lemonade, it was the perfect treat. After that, the kids enjoyed a variety of games, and we all hopped on a relaxing tractor ride around the farm to soak in the scenery.
We ended up spending the whole afternoon there until closing, enjoying the unforgettable views and making lasting memories as a family. To top it off, I had a chance to chat with John, the farm’s owner, who was incredibly friendly. He shared the core values behind the farm and how it all came to be—he’s truly passionate about creating a welcoming and authentic experience for visitors.
I also learned that the farm operates differently throughout the year, and John mentioned that during Christmas, the place is transformed into a winter wonderland with plenty of lights. I can’t wait to see that magic when the holiday season comes around!
The day was simply awesome, and we’ll definitely be back for more of...
