Very cool historical site! There is a ranger station there so you can choose to take a tour or just walk around, however the rangers will be always around as they keep watch for polar bears. The views of fort wales and where the river meets the bay are awesome! Be prepare for the wind! They do close at 3pm so make sure you visit during rangers hours.

My family and I did the tour provided by Parks Canada and highly recommend it. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. We learnt lots of information and the kids loved trying the various berries! As a bonus it is a great spot to watch the beluga whales swimming around in the Churchill River.

We were limited on time but made a stop here to quickly explore. Next time I will make sure to further indulge in the history of this post. Make sure you're with a guide though as there is much to learn and polar bear safety is always needed.

My family and I did the tour provided by Parks Canada and highly recommend it. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. We learnt lots of information and the kids loved trying the various berries! As a bonus it is a great spot to watch the beluga whales swimming around in the Churchill River.
