I'm grateful for this green space in Lloydminster. It can be quite pretty. I like it when it's not very busy. The paths are maintained well, although some paths aren't accessible during the winter as they're not all plowed.
There could be more dog waste bins in places (for example when you go from the baseball diamond near the tennis courts (where there is a dog bin), there are no more dog bins as you go up past the sundial and loop around past the front gate and back down past the crazy golf, until you get to the parking lot. Although there are a couple in the gravel parking lots past the sundial, but they require a detour off the path, through to the middle of the parking lot.). It would be nice to have another bin or too along that stretch of path, maybe one near the allotments or the crazy golf. I just hate carrying smelly bags for an extended distance while also trying to corral two energetic dogs.
I enjoy the array of paths, there are lots of different routes you can take, especially when it's not winter.
In a city lacking in green space where you can walk your dogs, this is a lovely amenity and I'm grateful for all the staff who maintain it.
Geocaching is fun to do although there have been a few I've not been able to find (perhaps stolen or destroyed) which is frustrating. But it is a fun activity...
Read moreOur little paradise. I witnessed the upgrades and growth in the size of walking trails over the years since 1997 when I moved here up to now. The walking trails are surrounded by vibrant lush trees, so green in summer and rustic beauty in the fall; majestic winter wonderland and lovely in the spring. Home to different types of birds; some wildlife sightings in between seasons too, I was in awe when I saw a bunch of deer here last spring. Been a frequent park visitor almost every day of all seasons. My kids were born and raised here in Lloydminster, this is our favourite park. My 13-year-old dog, Marcus loves our daily walks...
Read moreWhat a lovely place to go for a walk in Lloydminster. There are plenty of gravel trails to choose from. The pond is beautiful with its fountains. There are lots of benches around the paved paths around the park. There seems to be something to do for everyone, including sports courts and a kids' playground. I was there off-season, so I personally only used the walking trails. They are kept clear, which is nice. A very clean park. Washrooms are now closed for the season. I am from Ontario and was here 3 years ago. This park is the same as then. It's worth the visit,...
