This is a definite go-to location for anyone who enjoys a fire on the beach or great sunset views. If you do happen to find yourself wanting to see a sunset, make sure you give yourself plenty of time as parking spots fill up very fast on the North-West side. This is also a great location for hiking as you can get unobstructed views of the bluff, as well as some great vantage points overlooking Conception Bay from the Miner's Trail (a part of the great East Coast Trail) - bring a camera if you are into photography! For these reasons, Topsail Beach is a wonderful spot to spend a sunny day or warm evening during the height of Newfoundland's summer. I am quite dispirited at how messy it can be both on the beach itself and around the park, knolls, and wooded areas. There are some who have very little (if any) regard to nature and the natural beauty that is our province. This beach has the potential to be extremely pristine and attractive, and while it is plenty busy throughout the warmer months, it's a shame that little consideration is given to both the wildlife and beach.

I’m a big sunset guy. One of my favourite things in the world is seeing a beautiful, colourful and magical sunset. Topsail beach did not disappoint. Lots of viewing space and parking is very close to the beach - only a few dozen steps. Lots of benches and a fairly large beach that allows open pit fires. The bluffs are great for a view. It is a bit interesting to access, and the main road in is quite steep with a blind turn as you leave, but it is 100% worth the trip, and I would highly recommend it.

Nice rock beach with a great view of the water. Note there are a lot of spiders in the rocks, not great for people with arachnophobia. There is a stiller body of water nearby great for skipping stones. There's also a nice view of the mountain nearby, perfect for sunset views.

Beautiful spot to sit on the beach and watch the sun set over the horizon. The beach is rocky with small patches of sand for kids to play in near the water if the tide allows. Can be quite busy and parking can be a bit difficult. There is a small playground but doesn't have much in the way of equipment for kids. As a big plus, this location has washrooms open during the summer with flushable toilets and sinks with soap. (Though I suggest bringing along soap cause it...
