It amazes me that less then 10 minutes from the City Centre in Coquitlam, one can drive to a quaint park that leads in just a few short steps to the Coquitlam River.
The park is small with some grass areas and playgrounds for children. There was one cement picnic bench. But what makes the park unique is the river - this location would be great for tubing. There is a trail that follows the river that is easy to follow and quite beautiful. And there is sand! Real sand. Not alot but it's there.
Parking I can imagine would be a nightmare during the summer but I'm the Fall and Winter is likely not an issue.

No parking area, just neighborhood street parking. We love this park for the river. It's shallow enough for toddlers to walk in. And secondly, it is completely nonsensical to build a public park and then effectively remove all the public parking.
