We showed up on a day that the railway museum was closed (due to an error in hours on google). But we showed up with 2 cars full of very excited kids and the owner was so kind and allowed us entry. The staff was so accomodating (and friendly about it) and opened all of the trains and buildings, and even gave us a train ride. They truly saved the parents a long drive home filled with the wrath of toddlers. We've been here before (during regular hours) and had a great experience then as well. I have 2 young boys who loved ringing the train bells, pressing various levers in trains and being able to check out so many different kinds of trains. A favorite was the spreader. Would recommend this place for all ages of train lovers. I also found the section of the museum that's dedicated to the history of internment camps very interesting as well.
