No reservations required, free parking, and close to Halifax. It was really nice having that because it's not like this at the beaches where I'm from (Ontario/Greater Toronto Area) There are changerooms, washrooms, and showers to rinse your feet. The overall beach and facilities were clean. The beach itself was warm according to one of the locals. To me, it was a bit colder than what I am used to in Ontario's Lakes, but on a really hot day, it should be no problem to swim here. On the day I went, it was too cold for me to fully submerge my body, but it was still fun to have my legs in and face the waves.

My actual favourite beach in all of Novs Scotia!!! WHY? Hard to say, I guess...there are so many. I guess, Sambro Area just holds a special place in my Heart โ™ก. Absolutely worth checking out though! About 45 minutes from Dartmouth, similar from Halifax proper, this beach is totally accessible even for those with mobility challenges. Great for bodybuilding or light Surfing. The waves here are fantastic! Beach walks and hikes a plenty. Lots of trails to get lost on. Definitely bring a light source ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ•ฏ๐Ÿ”ฆ๐Ÿ’ก Wonderful for the family, by yourself or a Romantic Evening. Much Love, Joe Leger JKL

Great Family beach, compact white sand, beautiful boardwalks, change rooms and nice bathroom facilities, with rinse station! The only thing I would change (if possible) would be the cleanliness of the water, there is a lot of debris, and seaweed and sticks and such floating around at shore, which makes for not the most appealing walk in. Once your past it, it's fine. The water is great! Not sure if it was just the day I was there or not. This beach has good waves, and it's fairly long. With cottages on either side of the beach, it is not private, but close to the city limits which is lovely to...
