Little Lake — Attraction in Cramahe

Little lake has only one tiny public beach maintained by the city. No Park nor concert with thousands of people. Except for the occasional powerboaters and noisy skidoos this is a very quiet peaceful lake. Has a small boat launch area. Beautiful torquoise green calm water. Little lake is shallow - deep in the middle only. Great for kayaking, canoeing and paddle boarding. You can fish with waders by walking all along the edge of the lake. See a few people practise their swimming for triathlon. Other than the picnickers on the public beach the lake has mostly cottagers and full time residents. We dock our boat at the near by marina. When we are at the boat we often take our boat out, anchored and I would be enjoying swimming in the middle of little lake.

It has 2 beaches and quite sandy. I often saw people fishing in this lake.

Every Fri during the summer months there is a public concert, the park is filled with thousands of spectators. The best band I heard throughout the summer was "tribute to Prince", the lead singer is incredibly talented, what a voice, his performance and the back up was worth the crowd.

Our lovely Mayor, Janet Newall, has gone full NIMBY and closed the lake to only lakeshore residents. Remember this the next you think 'Ah I want to go to the lake that my community has loved and supported for 50+ years'.
