Visited old mill Alpacas yesterday and it was an absolutely wonderful and enriching experience. The very many alpacas on the farm are well trained, extremely huggable, and the most adorable things you will ever meet! You get to lead your own alpaca on a trek of the farm as you meet the rest of the herd (and baby alpacas... ask for Otto) who will quickly swarm you for attention as you feed them their favorite apples. It was really fascinating to interact with them and discover each of their unique personalities. Needless to say it was very easy to lose track of time..

The farm is very picturesque - large with streams, woods and barns, and is definitely worth a visit even during the winter months. We were guided by Nicole who was great with the alpacas, and very patiently answered all of our questions as we toured with Presley and li'l Bee. We also got to meet and play with the pups and some kittens that share the farm with the alpacas, who extended a warm and friendly welcome.

Last but not least, we visited the store which was packed with curiosities and hand-made alpaca wool goodies. It was an absolute delight to meet Amy (who runs the place), and she took time to talk to us and educate us about the uniqueness of alpaca wool. It is clear in her passion and drive that she truly cares about the animals and it was inspiring to hear her talking about the farm and her journey.

To sum it up - a truly unique and memorable place. A must visit if you are in the neighborhood, want to make furry friends, or if you are just looking do to something different and fun. Looking forward to visiting again and seeing things in...

We booked on line for the alpaca trek and farm tour $45. We drove up and it’s not that far from the Main Street. There’s parking for 2 or 3 cars. We saw a large barn and made our way up to it. We were 10 minutes early. There was a young girl and her mother and they said Hi. We said Hi and looked around for someone in charge. We made our way upstairs and it looked like a class room. After we went downstairs and saw an older lady in coveralls who we assumed must be the owner. She said that she was waiting for 3 more people. When they came she gave us each an alpaca and told us how to handle them. We walked from the barn to another area that had the females and we dropped off the males and got to feed the females apples. Then we made our way back to the starting barn and dropped off the males. She was very knowledgeable about alpacas and I leaned lots of stuff. She mentioned that we could go upstairs and look around. We had already went up there and it had the usual farm smell so we said that’s fine. She said we could pick from packs of garden seeds to plant. She got them donated from a grocery store. I know the we paid for barn tour but it was just walking from the barn to another paddock. I would have liked to see a little sample of the wool and the process of how it’s handled. Or a tour of the actual barn. I felt like it was lacking. The owner was friendly and you could see she loved her alpacas. The staff was friendly and the lady took our picture with her iPhone then air dropped to our phone. I was looking for more of a barn feel. Like other...

I visited on Apr 1, 2024 and I had a great time! My girlfriend and I got to walk Presley and Pazaz as our two guides took us through the path on the farm to visit the male and female alpaca areas. The alpacas never strayed off course and were very calm as we walked together and the two guides were very knowledgeable answering my many questions. When we got to the female alpaca area, we got to go into the female area and feed apple slices to the girls (20+ alpacas). They were all incredibly friendly and gentle as they nibbled through the apple pieces in our palms. Some were clearly more excited and tried to be the first to eat but all alpacas were gentle, none were aggressive. A few didn't want any apples and several were more shy as they very softly ate the slices from your hand. I learned that alpacas only have front teeth on the bottom and they are very gentle as they eat through the apple slices in your hand. I would highly recommend booking the "Alpaca Trek + Farm Tour". We lucked out with the 3pm time slot as we booked the morning that we went but Amy responded very quickly to approving our...
