If you love clocks and museums this is a place to see! This is a typical small town museum. An older gentleman runs it, when asked about being open, he went on to describe that if it’s close we should call the number and he will come from home and open it up. He had some much love for the place. As most small town museums, Explained a lot of history of the museum and about the different styles of clocks. How long are you going to spend there? If your the type to read and embrace everything, There is enough items to keep you busy for a couple hours. All in all, I recommend.

Seriously cool items that would interest all types! Autism-friendly, too, with toy clocks, puzzles, and so many recognized brands and characters. My youngest son's favorites were the kids section, rabbit-ears TV and stamping his time in and out on the clock at the entrance. My 11 year old was very fascinated with the sizes of all the grandfather clocks, the radioactive clocks and the many sundials on the property. It was a great trip for our family! Thanks to Allen, who gave an amazing tour - two big thumbs up from us!! :D

My husband and I visited on Monday. We were so pleased/thrilled with the knowledge and friendliness of Allan the curator. The collection of Canadian clocks was amazing. Even though my husband has been a collector for 40 years, he/we learned more than we can express. The trip to Deep River was well worth the drive. Not to mention the scenery and the Military Museum, which we visited on Tuesday. What a beautiful province and country we live in.

This museum is an amazing place. Allan was very accomodative and kind. He stayed way beyond the closing hours, just to make sure we had the chance to visit. If the opening hours doesn't fit your schedule, take the time to email Allan, and the chances are pretty height that you will find a moment, if you are ready to be accommodative too. The visit was extraordinary, there is A LOT of clocks and some others old stuff like cameras. The explanations about the clocks were very instructive, and Allan was very paying attention to us, giving explanations and facts about every clocks that seems to interest us more, in addition to his "general" presentation. I am more than happy to have stopped by and I recommend this place very much. This is worth it. The visit takes...

This little museum was such an unexpected pleasure. A sign on the front said it closed the day we were there. But there was a car outside so we tried the door. It was open and we called out hello. Allan soon greeted us, explained he needed to close temporarily but would we like a tour. Of course we said and paid our suggested $5.00 each. An hour later we were totally fascinated by the information that Allan shared with us and so appreciative of his knowledge and passion of not only clock's but so many other artifacts in the collection. Don't go through Deep River without stopping in to this museum and showing Allan your appreciation for his devotion and...

Outstanding place with a rich history of North American engineering, because there are not only clocks but other kinds of technical devices representing the progress of 100 to 200 years of history. The guide (I am not sure his role there, seems like one of founders) provided very interesting information during the tour. My family was so involved in the information told to us that we did not notice the time. You need to visit this place many times to get the whole information held by this place, or set a whole day for it, if you are willing to. If you like history - this is the...
