Great spot to kick back and enjoy some sun and river access. It's only about 20-30 minutes from the west end of Edmonton to Devon. There's a separate parking lot for trucks with trailers for towing boats. Washroom facilities onsite. Bring your own setup for day use (chairs, umbrella, garbage/recycling bags etc) Keep in mind that it's about a five minute trek from the parking lot down to the river and if it's busy then you'll need to walk further to find a spot. Most people are courteous and clean up after themselves. There's not many sandy areas, it's mostly rocky. Swim with caution and stay close to the shore. The current is strong and picks up towards the center and can sweep a strong swimmer away quickly. With all the boat traffic I wouldn't recommend swimming in the open water anyway. Paved pathways and hiking trails are...

One of the most beautiful and tranquil locations in the Edmonton Region. You can walk the trails; launch a boat, canoe, kayak, etc from the boat launch; splash around in the water; sit on the shore of the river; enjoy a picnic; and so much more! Don't forget to bring your bike and try out the Riverview Bike Park. There are firepits for the public to use as well as picnic areas. This beautiful park is also the beginning of the River Valley Alliance trail which will take you from Devon through Edmonton and finish in Fort Saskatchewan. Many events take place here, check Town of Devon website. Voyageur Park... A little bit of tranquil nature just minutes outside of Edmonton, in the beautiful...

I have visited this beautiful park since 1998. Have watched the fall turn to winter and winter to spring and summer. In 98 there were no facilities or trails nor facilities. I could drive my jeep along the beach and into the water where i enjoyed a cold one while laying on top of my vehicle languishing in the sun and taking in sounds of mother nature. I revisited it after relocating and today it is a beautiful place for families and weary travellers to rest, reflect and reboot. I don't mind sharing a place that helped me say goodbye to my young fiance one last time. RIP here my love ..where the river flows...

The beach had some positive aspects, such as clear water, a nice view, and the convenience of washrooms. However, the overall experience was brought down by several significant drawbacks. The roads leading to the beach were gravel and extremely bumpy, making it uncomfortable to access the location. Additionally, the presence of snakes added to the discomfort. While the water itself was pleasant with minnows, people often fish in the area, so you have to be cautious about fishing hooks. The challenging journey and potential safety concerns make this beach difficult to fully enjoy.
