Just horrible attitude by the gentleman behind the counter.
Took us approximately 20 extra minutes and a couple of u-turns to find the place (not easy when traveling in a party of 3 cars), even though we were using Google Maps. Called the business for location help finally and were directed the right way.
Apparently we had passed the site and the turn because the business sign only faces the opposite way from where were coming (using Google Maps). Upon entering the site to pay for admission (about $23 per person), told the gentleman about our experience and he reiterated what he had told us on the phone, which was "you must've been following Google Maps, yeah they have it wrong!". Wait!! What?!?!?! So the business knows about the issue!!
Very pleasantly suggested to him that perhaps they should install a sign the other way as well to help so no one could miss the turn. This is where the attitude started. He snarkly remarked "22,000 people get here just fine because they come from the opposite direction (where the signage faces them) so I don't need to put more signs". Again, politely suggested to him that if you know Google Maps when directing from the other way gets it wrong, why not just one extra sign for those people (like us, that waste their time). He harshly reiterated he doesn't need more signs. That's where that convo ended, when we realized he has zero empathy even when it's a known issue (one that can be easily fixed).
His attitude during the filling out of waiver form and him asking for the kids' ages just was not pleasant.
The rest of the experience was great. the bridges are both marvelous and the premises are very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately giving a low rating due to the one person, but if you don't have the same experience then you're in...
Read moreMy family and I recently visited Eagle Canyon Adventure Park, and unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. If I could give this review zero stars, I would.
Upon arrival, we missed the sign instructing us to pay before entering the park. An honest oversight, especially with two excited kids in the backseat. However, instead of a polite reminder, the owner—whom we encountered shortly after—chose to confront us aggressively. His demeanor was rude and unwarranted.
As we attempted to rectify the situation, the owner continued to berate us. He raised his voice, accusing us of blindness and incompetence. Shockingly, he even threatened to deny us entry altogether. Our youngest child began to cry, adding to the distress of the situation.
When I requested to speak with a manager, the owner arrogantly informed me that he was the owner and could behave as he pleased. His dismissive attitude left us feeling disheartened and unwelcome.
Ultimately, we decided to leave Eagle Canyon Adventure Park. Instead, we visited Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park, which turned out to be a blessing. The breathtaking lookouts and serene atmosphere more than made up for our initial disappointment. Notably, the viewpoints at Ouimet Canyon Provincial Park are both nicer and higher than the mere 100-foot high suspension bridge at Eagle Canyon( as per other reviews-please read them for your reference). Plus, we saved $100 compared to what we would have spent on the suspension bridge at Eagle Canyon.
In light of our experience and after reading other reviews, I strongly discourage anyone from visiting Eagle Canyon Adventure Park. The owner’s behavior is unacceptable, and he could benefit from anger...
Read moreNOT WORTH THE MONEY I must start off by saying that this is the first review I have ever written, but this experience was so bad that I just had to write something. THE STAFF IS HORRIBLE. There was exactly ONE man who was at all welcoming or kind, and he is the older owner of the place. Other than him, the lack of enthusiasm, kindness, and respect was astonishing. No one put in any effort whatsoever to be friendly or patient, which is truly disappointing since my friend and I were among less than a dozen zip liners that day (you would think they could give 12 people a smile in a day). THE WORST PART however, was when we found out that we were not allowed to use our CHEST-MOUNTED GoPro to film the zip line. The no camera rule is understandable, as people could drop them, but the CHEST-MOUNTED GoPro? There was absolutely no reason not to let us use it, and part of the reason we payed so much money to zip line was to get some great footage! The fact that they have first-person footage of someone zip lining on their website is INCREDIBLY deceiving. After getting extremely excited to use the GoPro during the entire hike up, our hopes were crushed when the man at the top (smoking a cigarette as we approached by the way) told us we could not use it, without a reason why. Overall, I strongly advise you not to go. Even if you are not zip lining, the $20 entry fee just to hike is not at all worth it. Please do not support a business with such poor...
