What a great place to get away from the hustle of life. I dont think that there are very many parks (if any) that are like pakwash. It is run by volunteers (mostly Katie and her family) who keep the park clean and organized. The relaxed and friendly atmosphere of the volunteers and other campers was next level. Every one was very welcoming and helpful. The beach was nice and clean (just a little small). The playground was enjoyed by all of our kids. The fishing! The fishing was great! All of the locals said if you want good fishing that we should go to red lake... But we caught SO many fish in this lake! Pike, Walleye, Bass, even a white fish! We caught some small pike right off the shore! It was a lot of fun. We also saw loads of bald eagles, pelicans, and other assorted wildlife. If you get a chance, I highly recommend coming up here for a fun time to just sit back and relax!

Arrived after the gatehouse closed and they had left a bundle of wood out for me! Far enough from home and no cell service meant for a true getaway, but close enough that could make it home if need be. Will...
