A treasure and a great place to ramble through on one of the rainy days during our stay in Eastend. Although we were two adults (no kids), we had fun looking through the displays of real and cast bones and footprints (and even coprolites)! I think kids who love dinosaurs would be over the moon in this place! One of the paleontology students did a great job describing the environments that the dinosaurs would have lived in and also talked to us about Scotty's excavation and the current digs on the go nearby in Grasslands National Park. Definitely take the time to watch the 30 minute film about Scotty's discovery, too. It is really well done and informative. The short nature trail around the Centre is also well worth your time. There are many interpretive signs, not only about the wildlife and plants, but about the history of Eastend and the RCMP. (If you are there in May/June, do watch out for...

What an amazing place in small town Saskatchewan. This place is must see. So much to see and do. Lonny a staff member and a local from Eastend was friendly and welcoming from the time we walked in, he checked on us to see how we were doing and gave us a lot of insight on the displays. We also met Matthew who is in university to become paleontologist he also gave us lots of info. The lab is very interactive especially for kids and big kids. There is also a fun kids space and a great souvenirs shop. Wished we could of walked the trails but it was storming the day we went. Scotty the T-Rex is always ready to pose...

It's quite the drive but if you have a kid who loves dinosaurs like ours does, it is worth it. The museum is by donation, and the book/souvenir shop is well priced. There are only a few exhibits but they have a bunch of kids activities like dinosuar puzzles, stop motion animation station, reading corners, and my LO had so many questions for the palaeontologists working on real fossils. Location wise, it's quite a beautiful landscape, and Eastend feels like a picturesque Montana town. Outside the discovery centre is a fossil dig zone for kids and adults alike to excavate a variety of...

Absolutely enthralling! A compact gem in Eastend-sculpted with care and bursting with wow moments. Scotty, the world's largest T. rex, dominates the CN Gallery with an awe-inspiring presence, while the Paleo Lab Experience turns learning into hands-on adventure. Year-round paleontologists, interactive dig stations, movies, hiking trails, and a Dino Dig Pit offer something unforgettable for every age. Admission by donation, open daily through the summer. A must-see on any Saskatchewan road trip

Took a 4 hour road trip south to see this place and it was absolutely worth the drive! A great center for all things paleontology, there were many displays that showcased the numerous findings in southwest Saskatchewan. There was even a theatre room, a preparation lab you could go into and hiking trails along the outside. Our tour guide Dallan was extremely knowledgeable and made our experience that much better! A fascinating place for those looking to learn more about our prehistoric world!

An amazing centre with focus on the discovery of the largest T. rex found. “Scotty” was found in the valley around Eastend and what an amazing discovery. The centre isn’t large, but modern and well worth spending at least an hour or 2. There’s a theatre with a film that focuses on the discovery of the T. rex. The staff is friendly and helpful. Such a great place to stop. I highly recommend you do so. There’s no set entrance fee…just a donation to the centre “recommended 10$”.
